Sometimes your only available transportation is a leap of faith. ~ Margaret Shepard
It sounds a little corny but it’s actually true – sometimes the only way to get unstuck is to take the leap.
There are moments – and I’ve had a few of them myself – when we get stuck. We get stuck in the space between where we are and where we want to be. Stuck in the space between who we are and who we want to be.
Living in the space between can be challenging. It’s where that inner voice takes control. It’s the place where we start questioning our motives and start doubting ourselves. It’s the place where what people think of us becomes of chief importance. It’s often the place where hope goes to die.
What We Tend To Forget
When we’re stuck in the space between, we tend to forget that it’s a transitional place. It doesn’t have to be permanent although in the moment, it sure can feel like it is.
The key word here is “transition” – and we know that transitions mean “changing from one state to another.”
When we find ourselves in the space between – where we are and where we want to be or who we are and who we want to be – we must remember that we’re actually in the process of moving to another place. We’re in the process of becoming who we want to be.
So, when you find yourself in the space between, remember that sometimes your only transportation is a leap of faith! And, as you take that leap, consider the words from Jeremiah [29:11] …
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Be well and make it a great day!
