In about 12 hours, I will join thousands of other runners and cross the start line at the 2012 Fargo Marathon.
I’ve picked up my packet, registered my chip and I’m now settled in for the night at a local hotel. The training for this event started back in January. There have been good training runs and a few bad ones. I’ve experience pain and discomfort; and, in some cases, I’ve questioned my decision to run a marathon.
None of this matters now…
There is no turning back …
In fact, when I walk in the Fargodome earlier this afternoon to pick my packet, I took and few moment and stared at the finish line and visualize myself crossing that “second line”.
In the end, that’s all I’m doing – crossing two lines.
Thanks for your support and encouragement! I’ll see you at the finish line!
Be well and make it a great day!
