Welcome to Season 2, Episode 5 of The Conversation Hub! This week, I’m delighted to bring you my conversation with Bettine Hermanson.
The theme for this season revolves around “Living An Expat Life.” An expat (short for expatriate) is a person temporarily or permanently residing in a country other than that of their citizenship.
About Bettine Hoff Hermanson
Bettine is a Norwegian expat now making a life and a living in the United States. She and her husband Johnny – one half of the well-known singer/songwriter duo Storyhill – live in St. Paul, Minnesota with their three children.
When Bettine is not busy being a mom and a wife, she spends her time as an Arts Education Coach and Facilitator and as a member of the organizing committee for the Nobel Peace Prize Forum.
You can learn more about Bettine by following her on LinkedIn!
Norwegian immigrants came to the United States primarily in the later half of the 19th century and the first few decades of the 20th century. There are more than 4.5 million Norwegian Americans according to the most recent U.S. census, and most live in the Upper Midwest. The largest group – more than 900,000 – live in Minnesota.
