This year, like every year, parents all across America are preparing for the day their son or daughter goes of to college. It’s an annual ritual many families have already experiences and many more will in the years to come.
This week, we’re in conversation Kristin and Kurt Thompson, parents who are experiencing the last year of high school for their daughter Betsy. What’s unique about them – Betsy is their only child. For the past few months, they’ve been living through a series of “last events” and, as you’ll hear during our conversation, the most difficult ones have yet to happen.
As noted the adventure they are on is not exclusive to them, but one that is shared and will be shared by all of us who are parents.
As you listen to this conversation, I encourage you to think back to your last year of high school and what that experience was like for you and for your parents.
Enjoy the conversation!
