I’m a big public radio fan and a sustaining member of Minnesota Public Radio. I’ve been fortunate to have been in conversation with some great public radio personalities – in fact, these conversations are some of my favorite!
It’s my pleasure to welcome Sean Cole to The Conversation Hub. If you are a fan of Marketplace, This American Life, Studio 360, Radiolab and The Story, you’ve heard some of Sean’s work.
Sean was gracious to find time in his busy schedule to join us for a chat over the July 4th holiday weekend. We experience some technical difficulties at the start of our time together and I was relieved when Sean re-assured me that this happens all the time in public radio!
One more thing – he loves Canada! Nothing more makes a Canadian (even an expat at that) smile!!!
About Sean Cole
Sean Cole is a freelance radio producer and the fill-in host of APM’s The Story when Dick Gordon is away, and sends us stories from New York City and beyond. Sean has worked on staff with Radiolab and This American Life. Sean started off as a newsroom intern at the Boston NPR affiliate WBUR in 1997. He worked there for nine years there, doing pretty much anything they would let him, and finally ending up as a senior reporter with the award-winning documentary series Inside Out. He also writes poems.
