I am happy to report that the new season of The Conversation Hub podcast will be available next week with “Season 2, Episode 1” posting at noon (Central Time) on Wednesday, July 8th.
This new season will feature conversations on “Living An Expat Life.”
An expatriate (often shortened to expat) is a person temporarily or permanently residing in a country other than that of their citizenship. The word comes from the Latin terms ex (“out of”) and patria (“country, fatherland”).
As you know, I’m a proud Canadian who now makes his home in the land of 10,000 lakes – Minnesota – and have been living an expat life for more than 15 years. I’ve also had the opportunity to travel with the international group called Up with People and for this season, I’ve reach out to a few people from my time on the road who are also living in countries other than the one they were born in.
Over the course of the next several weeks, you’ll hear conversations with an American now living in Qatar, a Canadian who calls Australia home and, a refugee who came to England and now call Belgium home. I’ll also be talking with someone who left India and now calls Minnesota home and an individual, who like me, left Canada to make the USA his home.
This represents only a small sampling of the conversations I’ll be hosting and I’m excited to share them with you. We all have interesting stories to share but I think there’s something worth exploring when it comes to people living an “expat life.”
So, join me next week as we embark on Season 2 of The Conversation Hub! If you haven’t already done so, consider subscribing to the podcast on iTunes! You can do so by clicking here!
In Case You Are Wondering
I’ve been podcasting for the past five years and I’ve hosted more than 190+ episodes. I consider the first 185 episodes as my “pilot season.” Now, I group all the episodes in “seasons” and have a specific theme for that season.
You can access all of the episodes, including ones from the most recent season, by visiting this link!
