On New Year’s day, I shared with you my three words for 2011. You can read about them right here.
I wanted to update you on how some happening related to two of the words: Health and Share.
It has been an exciting 4 months! I completed the second “biggest loser” session at our local gym and since September ’10, I’ve shed more than 57 pounds. I ran a 7K in last month and this past weekend I completed my first half-marathon. Considering the fact that 9 miles was the most I’d ever run, I am extremely proud of the fact that I completed the half-marathon and did it without walking.
Here are some images from that wonderful day!
The journey continues. Heather (my wife) and I will be participating in the Warrior Dash in July and yes, I am looking at doing as full marathon. I have to convince myself that an additional 13.1 miles is something I can complete. I’m taking the next week or so to make a decision.
More details on this later!
Part of my commitment in 2011 was to begin work on my second CD. I am excited to report that we are closer to a release date. Scott Helgerson, my good friend and arranger extraordinaire, is again playing an “instrumental” (pardon the pun) role in this project. I am delighted to share the first single with you today. It’s an instrumental version of a traditional French Canadian song called À la Claire Fontaine. You can listen to a preview and purchase the single on iTunes (link to iTunes).
