For this week’s episode, we are in conversation with the founder and principal voice of the Confessions of a Mom, Beth Gasser.
What started out as a project to learn more about how blogs and other social media tools could benefit her clients, Beth’s website has become an online community where other moms gather to share and comment on life’s unique and precious moments.
The “mommy blogger” community is not a new phenomenon, but is one that continues to grow and be extremely active online. During our conversation we explore the power of this community and how it is bringing people together and, when needed, becomes a powerful support system for all involved.
Note: During the interview, I reference a video from CBS Evening News anchor, Katie Couric. You can view her commentary and hear some interesting statistics on Mommy Bloggers here.
About Beth Gasser
With a degree in Sociology and another in Small Business Management, Beth’s skills are easily put to work doing what she loves; working with people, helping small businesses, learning, writing, and being creative. She spend hours writing lesson plans so she can teach traditional and social marketing techniques to small business owners. When time allows, she loves to attend networking events and give presentations about topics for which she’s passionate.
On the home front, she’s passionate about her kids, adoption, travel, Chinese and Haitian cultures, and clean water projects. She loves creativity, cooking, art, movies, and books. She never stops learning and can easily be engaged in meaningful conversation over a good cup of coffee.
