There is no denying it …. I love coffee and I love great conversations.
When it comes to having a great conversations with someone, there is no better companion than a cup of coffee. My friend Jason Simon refers to these types of conversation as ‘caffeinated conversations‘.
When I think back to some of the great conversations I’ve been a part of – coffee has been the constant companion.
An early morning conversation with my wife – it’s happens over coffee.
A conversation or interview for our weekly podcast – I always have a cup of coffee by my side.
Conversations with my colleagues on a project we are working on – it’s always over coffee.
A visit with a donor or prospect – coffee is usually the perfect companion.
You may not be a coffee drinker and this may not resonate with you, but for me a good cup of coffee serves as the catalyst for a great conversation. It’s the perfect companion. With the holidays just around the corner, we have countless opportunities to be in conversation.
This year, I encourage you to try something different … identify one or two individuals (friend, family, client) and invite them to join you for a ‘caffeinated conversation’. I am convinced that your conversation will bring you joy; that it will be meaningful and memorable; and, that coffee will be the perfect companion!Photo Credit: All rights reserved by thepretenda
