It’s been a crazy few weeks.
Beirut was bombed. Paris was attacked. Presidential politics are all the rage. Emotions are running high. We’re scared and wonder when the next proverbial shoe will drop. In many ways, we’ve given FEAR “permanent resident status” in our minds and in our lives.
Here’s the thing, I don’t think living in fear is healthy and I want to do my part to help change the narrative. Like most of you, I need a constant reminder that living life with a grateful mindset is far more productive than living in fear.
Bottom line, I need to be less fearful and more thankful.
As a result, I hope to restart the tradition I started a few years ago – after all, Thanksgiving is all about tradition. But to do it right, I need to crowd-source my material – that’s where you come in. The only way I can do this is by asking for your help. That’s right, I need you to help me do this right. I want to include your comments in a special Thanksgiving Day episode of The Conversation Hub.
If you want to participate and have your comments included in the “Giving Thanks – The 2015 Edition” episode, here’s what you can do:
1. Record a voice memo using your phone.
Share your first name and where you’re from; and tell us what you are thankful for. For example: “I’m Marc from Minnesota and this year I am thankful for…”
2. Send (or forward) the voice memo file to firstname.lastname@example.org
Alternatively, you can send your thoughts in an email and I’ll read them as part of the episode.
3. Send me your thoughts by no later than Tuesday, November 24th!
I hope you’ll consider sharing your thoughts with me. I’ve come to understand that when we hear others share what they’re thankful for, it makes us realize that we too, have much to be thankful for.
Let’s lift each other up this holiday season and share what we’re thankful for.
I can’t wait to hear from you.
Be well and make it a great day!
